Wildlife Photography Features

There's something special about being able to walk among nature and stumble across some beautiful wildlife subjects! From spending time outdoors in my home state of Georgia to areas of South Carolina's Lowcountry to my travels to Colorado, there's something for every wildlife lover.

I love spending time outdoors, and I especially enjoy being able to see and photograph different animals in their natural habitats. It's always a treat to stumble across a new and exciting creature, and I'm always excited to learn more about them.

In 2022, I photographed a lot of different animals, and I'm looking forward to doing even more in 2023. So, if you don't see your favorite animal in my portfolio yet, just you wait!

This beautiful pair of Red Shouldered Hawks are local to me, as they actually nest near the neighborhood and are often spotted working as the local "pest" control. One of my easiest shots, just steps from the front door! Photographed in Rincon, GA.

This gorgeous Fox Squirrel was photographed in Bluffton, SC. I spotted it while on a walk while looking at a dead tree along the walking trail and this little guy was staring back at me. This was actually one of my first wildlife subjects!

Look at this gorgeous Wood Stork! Found walking along a pond's bank, hunting for his next meal! Wood Storks can be found along the southeastern coastline and gulf coastline areas, so they're quite a unique thing to spot unless you frequent those areas often! Photographed in Bluffton, SC.

Another feathered beauty, the Great Blue Heron! Photographed in Bluffton, SC, while it was carefully watching an alligator across the pond. It's easy to see why so many people love this beautiful bird!

A Lowcountry and Florida favorite, the beloved American Alligator! Photographed in its natural habitat in Bluffton, SC. This alligator was enjoying a warmer than normal winter day along the banks of a pond.

Lastly, a gorgeous Mule Deer doe! Adored by hunters and wildlife fans, it's easy to see why so many people love this iconic western animal! Just look at those expressive eyes and big ears! This doe was with her herd resting in the shade in Larkspur, CO.
